What About This Choir: The SMMC Handbell Choir is open to adults who would like to participate in the music ministry of handbells. Ringers of all backgrounds are welcome. It is not necessary to have previous handbell experience (music experience a plus!).
What About This Ministry: Every service will have one or more selections by a soloist or small group. Monthly music schedules are planned at least one month in advance. No auditions are required. Music must be given to the accompanist at least two weeks prior to the performance and the Director of Music Ministries must hear the selection a week prior to the scheduled performance.
Rehearsals: Sunday Afternoons, 4-5 pm
What About This Choir: The SHOUT! Youth Choir, comprised of students in grades 7-12, is a worship-leading group of youth with a heart for praise and sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. The choir sings in church services and prepares a Christmas program each December and another program in the spring. The choir also prepares a musical to take on a week-long Mission Tour in May. Members of this group are not required to be members of the SMMC congregation.

What About These Choirs: These graded Children’s Choirs are open to all children three years old through sixth graders. Each choir’s curriculum works on basic music theory, rhythm, singing in unison and harmony, Bible verse memorization, games, and much more! Each choir sings in church periodically and presents musicals to the church and community in December and May. Like other choirs at SMMC, the Children’s choirs participate in outreach opportunities as well. The choirs regularly sing at Magnolia Manor and have gone caroling to shut-ins at Christmas.
If you are interested in joining the Chancel Choir to sing for the Easter Cantata, we would love to have you join us on Wednesday, January 31st, at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary. No experience necessary.
