About Helping Hands

19 years ago, we began in a small closet housed in the offices of St. Marys Methodist Church. Today, God has blessed us with an entire building where we support those who experience food insecurity.

We take care of more than physical needs. We provide prayers, encouragement, resources, referrals and ways to let our clients know that we truly care about their well-being. We believe that each client we serve is whole and capable of making their lives better.

Our Values

  • To respect the dignity of everyone involved.
  • To work to unite our community.
  • Work to amplify hope and leave a positive spiritual footprint.
  • Our deep desire is for our community to learn about the true effects of rural poverty and to understand the impact it can have on generations to come.

In order to keep providing opportunities for growth, we need your help!

We would love to hear from you if you have special talents or life skills that you would like to teach — Bible study, budgeting, gardening, nutrition, tax help, or any other idea you believe will benefit our clients. To pitch an idea or learn more about poverty in Camden County, please email Beth Tipper at burns.beth@gmail.com.

Helping Hands Food Pantry is generously sustained by the grace of God, prayers and contributions from you – the members of the Camden County, GA community!

Thank you for your continued support for this ministry!
